Cristiano Ronaldo breaks HIS OWN Champions League record in Real Madrid win

Cristiano Ronaldo broke his own Champions League scoring record in Real Madrid’s rout against APOEL.
The Portugal captain has struggled so far this term and has just one league goal for Zinedine Zidane’s men.
The 32-year-old had 12 goals in 18 appearances for Madrid before Tuesday night’s clash but he’s looked some way short of his normal self this season after a taxing summer.
However, Ronaldo put his difficult start to the season behind him with two goals in Madrid’s 6-0 win in Cyprus.

Incredibly, the goals were Ronaldo’s 17th and 18th in the Champions League in this calendar year and he’s the first player to ever hit 17 in one year.
Ronaldo held the previous best for the 16 goals he notched in 2015 but he’s broken that record to create another piece of history in his illustrious career.
